9 Year Old Quilter - Step Two
Here are a couple of pictures of Sara cutting her stripsets into strips. She finished cutting all the stripsets and is ready to start sewing the strips together to make her blocks. Don't worry, I was right there while she was using the rotary cutter!

Beautiful Quilted Bag - Annabella Bag Pattern, Cool Cat Creations
Here is a bag that Donna, one of my students, made using my Annabella Bag Pattern. The pattern has instructions for a 3-D flower and beads, Donna didn't use either of these. She didn't add the 3-D flower, and instead of beading, which she really did not want to do, I suggested adding the sparkle glue. I think the sparkles look just great! I love black, white and purple. Great job Donna!

Young Quilter at Quilt Show
Here are a couple of pictures of Jerilyn, a young quilter from Fredericton. Jerilyn entered her first quilt into the Elm City Quilt Show this year. Jerilyn's grandmother is teaching her to quilt.
Another 9 Year Old Quilter
Here are the first pictures I have taken of Sara, my new 9 year old quilter. Sara is coming to class with her grandmother, Marie, both are making an Easy Peasy. Sara has chosen lots of purples for her quilt. She did have a little trouble in the beginning making the 1/4" seams, but then I drew the seam allowance on the fabric with a pencil. This worked much, much better. These pictures are from the first night, I will follow her progress and post it as the weeks past. Sara is having a great time, and doing a great job!

Cool Cats - Quilted Wallhanging Pattern
Finally, I know it has taken me a long time to get this pattern done, but it will be in my hands this week! I am working on a whole series of Cat patterns, the first 2 are Cool Cats and Trick or Treat. I believe the next one will be a Christmas Cat wallhanging, I am starting that one today.
It is hard to have so many ideas in my head, and only so many hours to work on them.
I will not be in the Houston Quilt Market this month, I instead will be at the Spring Market in Kansas, so I am looking forward to that, and will have lots of new patterns ready.
